Gilbert Burnet The History of the Reformation of the Church of England, London 1681-1683, two vols, the second edition, plus the 1715 Supplement, complete with 23 engravings; 4to, old panelled calf, worn, gilt titles,front board of vol.1 detached; few marginal tears to vol.1 but no loss of text. Some browning (espec. the Supplement) but largely clean. Most engravings fine ex. Francis Walsingham which is tape repaired. Together with Bishop Burnet's History of His Own Time, London 1724-34, two vols, good clean text, folio, full calf, gilt titles, boards of vol.1 detached. All with engraved bookplates of Lyme Hall.
