MORE DETAILSFootball Autographs 1920s/40s, a collection of cigarette cards, postcards (14), cuttings & prints, including 267 autographed by the players, some with multiple signatures including the English F.A. and Irish F.A. for 1931/32, and signed team pictures for 1931 of Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Rangers, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Everton, Newcastle, Chelsea and others. Held in a ring binder, 125 items with corner mounts, the remainder pasted in. Mixed quality but many impressive items. (321 items) [Provenance: compiled by the late Albert Bateman, professional footballer, Huddersfield Town, 1946-49, most of the autographs obtained in person.]
