An archive of entire letters 1800-1915 (plus few later) addressed to the Magee and Taylor families of New York, from various locations in the USA, some addressed to Europe, both business and family related, chiefly covering the period 1802-75 (the 1830s & 1840s very sparse); together with three works on family history including John Taylor: a Scottish Merchant of Glasgow and New York 1752-1833, 1917, and vendor's research notes. The Magee Family built up an important trade with China in the late-18th & 19th Century. Many items of postal history interest. (170 letters, plus books & notes).
