The Visitors' Book of the Lady Alison Officers' Club, 1882-1888, with around 2,500 signatures notably Kitchener (as Captain, several entries), William Howard Russell (war correspondent, several entries), Prince Victor Duleep Singh, Earl Dufferin, Sir Evelyn Wood, Ismail Eyoub Pasha, Tonino Bey, and numerous others. The address book was compiled in Cairo from Nov.1882 to April 1883, then transferred to Aldershot from August 1883. Bound in worn leather, gilt.

Fridtjof Nansen Farthest North, George Newnes, 1898, first edition, 2 vols, pictorial cloth, gilt; reinforced 3” tear to folding map. Very clean internally, binding very bright. Ownership signature dated 1898 to front pastedown of each volume, vol.1 with small ownership label.
